Colony Professional Learning Series:

Join ACE (Alberta Colony Educators) and The Consortium for a dynamic professional learning series explicitly designed to support educators working in Hutterite colony schools. This year-long series offers practical, hands-on sessions that address the unique needs of colony classrooms while building teacher capacity in inclusive, innovative, and responsive teaching practices.

Professional Learning Series

ACE Drop-In Sharing Sessions:

Hosted by ACE (Alberta Colony Educators) and The Consortium, this five-session drop-in series, moderated by Nancy Schwager, is designed to bring together teachers and educational assistants working in Hutterite colony schools for an evening of sharing, collaboration, and practical support.

September 25 (Math)

January 29 (English Language Arts and Literature)

March 26 (Science)

May 28 (Social Studies)

Provincial Hutterite Advisory Council:

We invite a representative from each School Authority in Alberta to join us for a series of conversations throughout the school year, designed to support Colony school leadership and learning.

Ascension Day Holiday (May 14, 2026).

We will be learning about our new curriculum, outcome-based learning/assessments, and have the opportunity to create some unit/lesson plans to share with our colleagues throughout the province.
